2017 was an interesting year, for Louise Mandumbwa as she got the opportunity to showcase her work during Miami Art week at the Prizm Art Fair, which happens concurrent to Art Basel Miami. The conceptual framework of 2017's underscored dialogue around "universal belonging" and examined Africa and its diaspora through a "transcultural dialogue."
Along with the privilege of participating as an exhibitor, along with four talents, her body of work was earmarked in an Okay Africa online piece about rising talents to watch. Mandumbwa states, "I feel like I have so much to learn still and much progress to make. However, this will forever be a watershed moment to look back on as a push that told me that there's something I'm doing right, that I need to keep on doing."
