    In Identity Theft, CHUKES sculpts expression without self-indulging in his access to vulnerability, and he incorporates texture and text when necessary. This body of work is honest, from his captivating depictions of Black hair and exaggerated emotions throughout the body to his renderings of the particulars, like the furrowed brows and the outstanding lips.
